The main purpose of Gate is to enable access to OZ7SAT from the Internet. This is done by SSH-connecting to port 2244 on Gate. Port forwarding on Gate will then take you to port 22 on OZ7SAT.

Excerpts from email to Steve:

1. Log in as 'steve' on Gate. The first time create a password with 'vncpasswd'. Then start the VNC server with 'vncserver :1'
2. On the client create an SSH tunnel to Gate: ssh -4 -p 2401 -f -N -L 5901:localhost:5901 steve@gate.amsat.dk
3. On the client run: 'vncviewer localhost:1' Use the password you created under 1. above. You will be presented with a blank, black screen, possibly with a note saying something about using F8. If you right-click on the screen you should see an application menu. Of the ones listed only Firefox and xterm are installed.

The router GUI is at 192.168.1.1, the user name is 'user' and the password is 'DFUW4WAR'

The VNC server will be killed when you log out from the session under 1.
